I love that I can enjoy all of the things that my carnivore friends and family love to eat. This Beef and Broccoli recipe is tasty and the texture of the plant-based steak strips by Quorn are amazing. I encourage everyone to try this recipe and it’s Gluten Free……
This recipe will serve 4
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons of corn starch
1/2 cup of water
2 tablespoons of water
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 bag of Quorn brand steak strips
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
4 cups of broccoli florets
1 small red onion cut into wedges
1/3 cup of low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of fresh grated ginger
cooked brown rice
Directions:
In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, 2 tablespoons of water and the garlic powder, whisk until smooth.
Add the steak strips and toss until all of the strips are covered
In a large skillet or Wok, heat 1 tablespoon of the coconut oil until hot over a medium to high heat, stir-fry the steak strips until heated all the way through. Remove from the oil and keep warm.
Stir-fry the broccoli and the red onion in the remaining oil for 4-5 minutes
Return the steak strips to the pan
Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and remaining cornstarch and water, whisk until smooth, add to the pan
Cook and continue to stir for an additional 2 minutes
Serve over brown rice
