Hoyle’s Kitchen and Bar is located in 1440 Roswell Rd Marietta GA is a very quaint and family friendly restaurant. I wrote to see if they would grace me with a menu tasting, and they kindly agreed.
I arrived on a very rainy Georgia day and decided to go on a Sunday. They are well known for their Sunday Menu Brunch. I was welcomed by the hostess who sat me, followed by my amazing server. I started my brunch off with their mimosa which are only $2 WOW! you can’t beat that. Soon the Executive Chef would greet us and give us a little Hoyele’s Kitchen Southern Charm.
Waffles and Bacon, A Biscuit Bowl, an amazing Granola Parfait and the list goes on and on. I started to feel like I was in Texas where everything is BIG…… The Pancakes arrive and they are Colossal. As I take a small bite of the Parfait, I notice that the flavor is amazing. The fruit so fresh and the yogurt sweet and creamy. The waffle fluffy and light with a side of a bacon that was a lattice. As you know the bacon is not my thing so I moved on to other things. The Biscuits Big Bowl arrives in all of its GLORY….. Biscuits made from scratch, hash-browns, scrambled egg, gravy, and melted cheddar cheese.
While I feast on all that has come to the table, I order another tasty mimosa and continue to sample a little bit of everything. The Chef comes to the table to check on us as well as give us a little taste of the Hoyle’s Kitchen history. We chat for a while and discuss the plans for the new menu. He tells us more about how Hoyle’s came about. Hoyle Ivey is the founder of the restaurant who believed that people deserved access to good food, food friends, and good times.
I give him kudos on all that he has created and all of the hard work and dedication that goes into running such a busy, yet successful kitchen.
Hoyle’s Kitchen and Bar was a great experience and the food with its southern home feel and flavor was awesome. I would definately recommend a visit on Sunday for their brunch or stop by to watch a game or two.
Not only a restaurant, but a sports bar as well that houses two pool tables that are surrounded by large flat screen TV’s as well as a second bar.
Many thanks to Kitsy Rose who made our tasting happen and a huge thank you to Executive Chef Zach Starr for the amazing food
