Vegan Corn Dogs for the Kiddos!

Because I am personally not a fan of Morning Star products, I have to come up with ways to give my kids the fun food that they like without sacrificing what harmful ingredients might come with it.  I love
BOCA products as well as Quorn, and many others that may be plant-based and don’t have tofu incorporated into them.  LightLife is an amazing plant based brand that my whole family loves.  They have a hot dog that taste great and is also good for you.  We decided that we would take these hot dogs to create our own version of Vegan Corn Dogs.  I hope you and your family will enjoy them as much as we did……..
Vegan Hot Dogs
1 cup corn meal
1/2 cup flour
1 egg
1/2 cup of rice milk
1/4 teaspoon of salt
3 cups of vegetable oil
Skewer the hot dogs and place to the side.  Measure out your dry and wet ingredients and mix them all into a large bowl.  Heat the vegetable oil until hot enough to cook the corn dogs just on the outside (you may drop a bit of the batter into the hot oil ).  Take the skewered hot dogs and roll them into the batter and place them into the hot oil.  Allow them to brown on each side for about a minute.  Remove from oil and allow the oil to drain.  Enjoy!
